Navads will be attending SIINDA’s (Search and Information Industry Association) LOCALCOMM2018 and SIINDAimpact2018 which are being hosted from April 11 -13 in London. SIINDA conferences are often cited as a sounding board for the local search industry on the global scale, where local search leaders such as Bing, Yell, and Matchcraft are invited to speak on panels requiring their industry expertise and thought leadership. This process helps the industry as a whole to understand new techniques and processes that are being introduced as best practices to the global-to-local search ecosystem.
LOCALCOMM2018 is a two-day event focused on digital innovation and artificial intelligence in the local search industry and SIINDAimpact2018 is on the third and final day. SIINDAimpact2018 will deviate from traditional topics and delve into data privacy acts in EU, the future of data and how that will affect proximity and contextual search. SIINDA plans on stepping up and asking the hard questions, challenging the audience on ethics, privacy and other concerns around data as a tool to target advertisers and marketers.
SIINDA conferences are a global meeting of the minds where The C-Suite, Sales, Operations, Product and Marketing teams alike come together to communicate and troubleshoot this ever-changing digital landscape. It’s a judgment-free zone to ask questions, discuss challenges and share industry expertise in a friendly environment. No other industry event promotes such an open-forum setting.
The last SIINDA event was their Media Tech Conference was hosted in Valencia, Spain and it was primarily focused on globalization catering to the local search industry. Our CEO Lex ten Veen introduced a case study presentation from one of our reseller partners in South Africa who has been working with us for several years. Daryl Van Arkel is the CEO of Vicinity Media Group as well as the Co-Founding Director of Business Positioning Systems and Guerrilla IMC. He spoke about the digital landscape in Africa, how each country processes and values location data differently and how he’s leveraged Navads’ global white label solution to drive real results for clients in addition to other internal online marketing processes. Navads also won their Industry Excellence Award in the Presence Management category for our reporting dashboard, Atlas.
The networking events are also very unique, we hosted a guided bike tour through Jardines del Real Park in Valencia Spain that traversed part of old town all the way through to the modern museum and opera house. It truly was a unique experience and created plenty of networking opportunities and memories that we would have otherwise missed out on. Because our company is headquartered in Amsterdam, the bike tour was central to our hearts and it was great that we could achieve such a unique networking event with the preparation of the team at SIINDA.
